She's Aisha, her Skyrim character, you'll remember her from a previous entry about a commission I did for her.

I decided to draw her because I really liked her desing and her dress, I wanted to make it to resemble a bit about the Art Nouveau style but without making all of those frames (don't get me wrong, I really love them, but I just felt that they wouldn't fit with this piece).

The idea about the moon resembling a swing came because of her name and because I've been wanting to draw something like this for ages and she was the perfect victim! xD.

This is a commission I've made for SilverShadowfax @ deviantART about her Skyrim character SilverEye, and her friend's character the khajit Rahks :3.

Making this commission was quite a challenge, this time it want's the poses but the armors!

At first I thought that SilverEye was wearing a chainmail, but then the commissioner told me that it is made with dragon scales! She sent me dome in-game refferences of the armor and I almost died! the image was pretty dark and I couldn't see some parts of it, so I had to search for more refferences. I tried very hard to simmulate all the textures of the armor, specially the metallic parts and the pieces made with big scales, since they're the ones you can see better. I recommend to take a loot to it on DA, because you'll appreciate the textures better.

I had even more troubles working with Rahks, since SilverShadowfax couldn't send me some refferences, so I had to ask my friend Laura for some screenshots of a khajit with the features that the commissioner sent me. I had to leave aside some os his weapons suchs as the blade he wears on his back, because they would cover his face. This armor was also quite a challenge, because of the colours and the texture >_<.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the results! :3

Collaboration between my dear friend Arantxa Vizcaino and I.

Arantxa told be that it would be very exciting for her to see one of her anime style drawings painted and asked me to paint one of them, Of course, I accepted.

She sent me the lineart of this beautiful girl and I was really surprised, because I've been wanting to do an Steampunk style drawing for a long time, and she gave me the opportunity! xD

At first I was thinking on painting her with blonde hair, but then I realised that I don't usually paint characters with red hair, so I thought that that colour will suit an steampunk girl pretty well! I also added some freckles to her face and I really think they suit her! I also loved the way that her eyes came out, since I've tried some new things.

[Commission] Dolly-Belladonna

She wanted me to draw her Skyrim character Aisha along with Cicero. I firstly made an sketch I didn't liked, but then I got the idea of drawing them like this. The characters were drawn by hand, and then I had to make the sketch of the background with my tablet.

Since she wanted me to draw a forest for the background, I thought of adding a broken wall from an old castle or something like that because I thought that drawing only trees would look a bi repetitive xD. I also wanted to draw some flowers on the bottom corners, and the commissioner said that some black roses would work...but from my point of view that would have made the composition to look very dark, since Aisha's dress is all black, so I painted them blue and I think they turned out pretty well :3.

About the characters, I had to choose between two outfits for Aisha, and I prefered to drw this one since I think it looked more beautiful. I had some truobles with Cicero, since his face has some features that I haven't drawn before, and I didn't found any refference of him without his hat, so I had to use my imagination for his hair xD. Anyway, I think thay turned out pretty well :3.

Time: about 3-4 days!

Lend Me Your Blade

YAY! I finally managed to finish this one! I started the first sketch of it on the 20th of August, and I finished it yesterday! LOL

I wanted to work with watercolors for some time, and I felt like I should give a try to them again with this drawing.

The first thing I did was to search for toons of refferences for Lightning, since I didn't know in which kind of pose to draw her. I finally decided to draw her using her chrystarium to summon Odin, and then it's when the really headache came! xD.

My main idea was to draw Odin in his human form, but I couldn't find any good refferences for him, so I searched for a way to draw him in his horse form in the space that I had in blank. At first I thought I was gonna die because he has a lot of details! (and zippers, LOL), but I really like how it came out at the end.

I started to color thw background first: I did a blue gradient and then added some drops of red and dark blue watercolors, then I inclined the paper a bit tho get the effect of the falling drops. Finally, I mixed a bit of water with white acrylic to make it more liquid, and I used a big brush to make the white dots.

Painting the characters was I bit harder than I expected, since I didn't know how to get some of the colours!. I was also a bit confused about Odin's armor color...because sometimes is green, other is somekind of blue, and other times it has some gray tones! D:

Once I was done with painting everything, I mixed the white acrylic with water again and I used it to bring some light.

I couldn't scan the drawing since my scanner was too small and the paper was bigger! so I had to take a photo of it. I had to use Photoshop to straighten the drawing, editing the white zones and enhance the colours, since in the photo they came out pretty dark.

• Faber Castell colored pencills (to enhance some colors)

I'm not an expert at using watercolors, but I'll give you some usefull advices:

1. Moisten some zones beafore adding the base color, it'll be easier for you to add it and it can give you some interesting effects, but be carefull not to add a lot of water! use a tissue to reduce it.

2. After adding another layer of colour, wait for the first one to dry, or it can ruin everything if you're not careful enough!

Sharrkan The Swordsmaster

Sharrkan!
I've been working on this piece during all this week! I really wanted to draw Sharrkan since I made Yamuraiha's drawing and, since that piece was made for a Magi Fanbook I thought of doing this drawing also for it!
I had to look for toons of refferences to make the Kobra...and it was kinda weird, since I found pictures about anything but Kobras xDD. You may ask why did I put a kobra on it, and that's because I read that the pople in Sharrkan's country (Heliopblahblah) always wear a kobra or something with their shape xD.
Anyway, it was funny and entertaining to paint the kobra, but Sharrkan gave me some headaches since when I started painting his skin he turned to be pretty skinny xD!

I hope that this and my Yamuraiha piece would be printed in the fanbook, wish me luck!

WIPS WIPS WIPS...

Well, I don't really have a finished piece to show here, but since I don't want this blog to be more dead than it is I decided to post some steps of the piece which I'm working on right now.

      

As you can see, my noew victims are Lightning and Odin from the videogame "Final Fantasy XIII". I decided to draw them since Light is my favourite FF female character and Odin's design is pretty cool!
I tried to draw them in a semi-realistic way and that was quite a challenge for me. Their design is also pretty complex (I don't know why Nomura likes belts and zipper so much!).

I'll try to paint them with watercolors, and you can see how the background will be in the last image.


It'll take some time for me to finish this piece, since I'm going to participate in a Magi fanbook and I'm also trying to enter to a fanzine!

Yamuraiha The Sea Witch

I wanted to draw a marine background for a long time, so I thought that Yamuraiha (from Magi) was the perfect victim for this, since she's a water elemental magician.

It was quite funny to make all the corals, I had to look for toons of refferences on google, and I also had to try to make their textures, and I think it didn't came out really bad. I really like how the Elk horns and the brain looking ones came out. The entire piece was done in Sai, excepting the effect on the top and the bubbles, which were drawn and painted in Sai and then modified in Photoshop.

I also tried to make a semi-realistic style for Yamuraiha's face, I think it didn't came out really bad, I'm really happy with the results of this piece.

I'm trying to enter to a Magi fanbook with this piece and the Judal one I did long ago, so wish me luck! 8D

So I've started to do commissions again after a looooong break.

This piece was my first work, the commissioner said he wanted Sakura in Naruto's clothes and Naruto in Sakura's clothes in a romantic way, so I did it. The most romantic pose that I managed to draw was this one...I don't know if the commissioner was really happy at the enda, because you can see a lot of Naruto.

3 Chibi Requests for Tumblr

So the last week I decided to make 3 free chibi requests for Tumblr users. I was requested to draw Jude Mathis (from Tales of Xillia), Raint (OC) and Daniel Craig as James Bond.

The most difficult to draw was Daniel Craig, since I wanted to catch some of his face features, and it was quite difficult. And I really love how Raint and Jude's eyes came out <3.

This was also a very good practise, sinde I don't think that I'm good enough at drawing chibis xD.

Kyary, is that you?

So some weeks ago I was listening to some of Kyary's songs and I came up with this. I thought it was a good idea to try t design her some new clothes, keeping a bit of her "strange" style and doing something less "kyary" xD. I tryied to give it as many colours as possible but without doing a mess with tem. I also wanted to add some simple patterns to it.

This was also an attempt of semi-realism.

Here you can see the full piece and the "concept" of the clotes. the outfit is composed of a two-layered t-shirt (the green part should be a satin fabric), a purple ballon skirt (this would be also a satin fabric), the pink shocks (one of them is longer than the oter), blue and white booties, red bow and two white gloves with a little purple star.

The Lotus

I finally got some time to finish this piece! 8D

They are my OCs Aryen and Uryen, half elf/demon. On this piece I'm showing something about them that I didn't show before: their four black wings.

I've choosen the lotus to represent them since it's a symbol of longevity, beauty and perfection. I think this flower represents them quite well, because since they are the taboo childs of Shilene the Demon Queen and Uras the Elven Heir they can live longer than any other immortal race of the world. They were keept in an dream in live status in a frozen tomb until someone with pure intentios awake them. They know things about the external world thank to their connection with the wolves of the mountains.

They are supposed to be the key to liberate the world of the tirany of the angel Asahi, but part of their real power is sealed.

I need to draw the sheets of the new characters, you'll know more about them once I make them ^^.

[WIP] The Lotus

I'm just writting this entry to give this blog a bit of life...

Lately I've been quite busy with my practice's work. I need to make toons of illustrations, backgrounds and sprited for them, not to talk about all the changes they ask me to do. Buecause of this, it'll be take me some time to finish this personal work. 

As you can see, they are my OC Aryen and Uryen y their elf form, and I'm showing something about them that I've never shown before: their four black wings.You can also notice that I love to design clothes for them (specially for Aryen), I think this outfit will be their formal one. Also, I'm thinking to change their seal tatoo from a rose to a lotus, since is their representative flower.

YAY! I finally got some time to finish this drawing!

This piece follows the sames style as the previous one. This time I wanted to represent Corinne and Sochen on a night sky. I changed the design of the frame and thought of two flowers that can represent Corinne and Sochen. I think that the flower that suits most to Corinne is a rose, and Sochen's flower would be a carnation (I firs thought about a wolfsbane, but I will save it for other character, lol).

I think that this drawings represents quite well their relationship. Sochen protect's Corinne as a gratitude for saving him, and she gives him her blood (she's a vampire) to keep him of die easily. They are very protective to each other.

This was also my fist time doing the starts by myself!

[Cosplay Craft] Amy's Ribbons (Soul Calibur IV)

So yesterday was the 3rd Salón del Manga of Alicante (Alicante's Manga Convention). I've been working on Amy Sorel's cosplay for about a year to wear it on this convention.

This time, I'm showing you the ribbons that Amy has on her ponytails!.

They were made with fake roses, pink ribbons an porcelain. I modeled the porcelain by myself, I made a total of 8 pieces! (front and back), and when they were dryed I painted them with silver spray paint and I added some final touches with a dryed brush and black acrylic paint to make it look more metal alike.

I have to thank my friend Debby, because she helped me to collect some things for the cosplay and to figure out how to attach the roses to the ribbons :3.

I would love to make a photoshoot of this costume, since it took so much effort for my grandmother (who helped me to sew everything) and me, but first I would love to fix the garthers and find out that if the thing that was hurting me was the corset or the leather jacket x_x.

Maybe I'll also use this blog for showing my future cosplays, since they're some kind of art too!

I'll be starting my practices soon, I don't know if I'll have some time to finish some scketched that I have done months ago, but I'll try! see you!

I can't believe it! I got some free time to do this drawing!

The main concept of the piece was to do something sad, with wind and liles, that's why I picked my OC Kathrina as the main character for it.

She's visiting her parents symbolic tomb,since they were killed by the empire and their bodies were never found. Kathrina wants to revenge their dead. And the lily is her family's crest.

At first, I wasn't going to make the giant lily, but I felt that something was missing in the frame, that's why I added it.
